What is colon hydrotherapy?
Purified, temperature-controlled water is gently introduced into the large intestine to help remove waste. We use only the gravity method, from the Ayurvedic tradition, with no machine. It is similar to an enema but much deeper: a series of 3 sessions cleanses the entire colon with 25 to 30 liters of water.
What happens during a session?
- You arrive prepared (see below) and talk with your therapist about your case.
- In a private room, the therapist inserts a disposable cannula and controls the water flow by gravity.
- Water flows in and out several times while the therapist supports the process with an abdominal massage.
- Afterwards you receive dietary recommendations and, if needed, probiotics to restore your gut flora.
The room has air extraction and ozone generators, so the experience is hygienic and odor-free.

How many sessions do I need?
If it is your first time, we recommend 3 sessions to cleanse the whole colon. After that, 3 or 4 sessions a year are enough for maintenance.
How to prepare
- 24 hours before: eat only vegetables (cooked, raw, in soup or steamed) with a single type of fruit, and drink plenty of water.
- 3 hours before: do not eat anything. If your appointment is in the morning, come on an empty stomach.
- Preparing well reduces cramping and makes the session more comfortable.
Who should not have colon hydrotherapy?
We do not perform it if you have bleeding hemorrhoids or a severely inflamed rectum, had surgery in the last 3 months, or have a gastric balloon. For young children and adults over 70 we do an assessment before booking. If you have a chronic condition, message us and we will be happy to advise you.
After the session
Most of our clients go back to work or to the gym. After the first session some people feel tired, dizzy or some abdominal discomfort for a few hours, so we recommend not scheduling anything important right after your first one.
Who performs the therapy?
Our therapists are naturopathic practitioners with training in medicine and natural therapies, certified in colon hydrotherapy and with at least 1,000 sessions performed before seeing clients — including O.N. Irma Monroy and O.N. Martha Pineda, each with more than 30 years of experience.
